This project is a collaboration with the Agvituk Historical Society to locate and repatriate images of Hopedale to Hopedalimiut, as requested by community members. As of August 2024, more than 1000 images of Hopedale taken between 1951 and the 1990s have been physically brought back to Hopedale for permanent community viewing and use. If you are a USAF Pinetree Line veteran who was stationed in Hopedale or a visiting researcher, teacher or tourist with images to share, please get in touch. Physical slides, digital files, and prints of photos can all be copied so that images can return to the community.
